TERMS & CONDITIONS Southern Bells Personal & Private Chef Service LLC Last Updated: August 15, 2026 These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern the use of the Southern Bells Personal & Private Chef Service LLC website and the booking and purchase of our culinary services. By submitting an inquiry, completing a client intake form, booking a service, making a payment, or using our website, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms. 1. About Our Services Southern Bells Personal & Private Chef Service LLC provides personalized culinary services, including: - Daily Personal Chef Services - Personal and Private Chef Services - Weekly Meal Preparation - In-Home Catering - Private Dinners and Family-Style Meals - Property Marketing and Realtor Events - Private Gatherings and Special Events - Culinary Consulting and other agreed culinary services Services are customized according to the client's needs, preferences, household, event requirements, menu selections, and available service options. 2. Booking and Payment A service is not considered fully confirmed until Southern Bells has received the required payment and accepted the booking. Unless otherwise agreed in writing, full payment is required at the time of booking. Service fees and food or grocery costs may be listed separately. Payment of a service fee reserves the agreed service date, time, and professional culinary services of Southern Bells. 3. Service Fees and Food/Grocery Costs Southern Bells service fees cover the agreed professional culinary services. Food, groceries, ingredients, specialty products, rentals, staffing, travel, and other expenses may be separate costs unless specifically included in the selected service package. When Southern Bells purchases food or groceries on behalf of a client, the client is responsible for the actual cost of those purchases. Receipts may be provided for applicable food and grocery purchases. 4. Customized Menus Menus are customized based on the client's preferences, dietary requirements, household needs, event type, guest count, and service selected. Southern Bells reserves the right to make reasonable substitutions when an ingredient is unavailable, discontinued, unsafe, or otherwise impractical to obtain. Any significant menu or cost changes will be communicated to the client when reasonably possible. 5. Dietary Restrictions and Allergies Clients are responsible for accurately disclosing all food allergies, dietary restrictions, food sensitivities, and other relevant food-related requirements before service. Southern Bells will make reasonable efforts to accommodate disclosed dietary needs. However, because food preparation occurs in kitchens and environments where multiple ingredients may be present, Southern Bells cannot guarantee an allergen-free environment or eliminate all risk of cross-contact. Clients must notify Southern Bells of any changes to dietary requirements before service. 6. Client Kitchen Requirements For in-home services, the client is responsible for providing reasonable access to a safe, functional, and sanitary kitchen. The kitchen should have working appliances, appropriate food-preparation surfaces, basic cookware and utensils, refrigeration, and adequate space for the agreed service. Southern Bells may decline or modify a service when unsafe or unsanitary kitchen conditions prevent the chef from reasonably performing the service. 7. Pets and Animals For safety and food sanitation purposes, pets and other animals must be kept away from food-preparation and cooking areas while Southern Bells is providing services. Clients are responsible for securing animals as necessary to maintain a safe and sanitary working environment. 8. Food Storage and Handling After Service Southern Bells will use reasonable food-safety practices while preparing and organizing food during service. Once prepared food has been transferred to the client or left in the client's residence, the client assumes responsibility for appropriate refrigeration, storage, reheating, and subsequent handling of the food. Clients should follow appropriate food-storage and reheating practices and should not consume food that appears spoiled or has been improperly stored. 9. Kitchen Cleanup Normal kitchen cleanup associated with the agreed culinary service is included when applicable. Normal cleanup generally includes cleaning cooking areas, washing or loading commonly used cookware and utensils, wiping preparation surfaces, and leaving the kitchen reasonably organized. Deep cleaning, excessive cleaning, dishwashing unrelated to the service, or cleaning caused by pre-existing conditions may require an additional fee. 10. Client Access and Cooperation Clients must provide Southern Bells with reasonable access to the property and kitchen at the agreed service time. Clients are responsible for providing accurate information regarding: - Service address - Guest count - Menu requirements - Dietary restrictions - Kitchen conditions - Parking or access requirements - Special instructions relevant to the service Failure to provide necessary access or information may affect Southern Bells' ability to perform the service. 11. Cancellation and Refund Policy Southern Bells maintains separate Cancellation and Refund Policies that form part of these Terms. Within 72 Hours of Booking Clients may cancel within 72 hours of booking and receive a 100% refund, subject to any food, grocery, specialty ingredient, or other service-specific purchases already made on the client's behalf. After 72 Hours Cancellations made more than 72 hours after booking are subject to a 40% cancellation/loss-of-business fee on the service fee only. The 40% fee does not apply to food or grocery costs. Same-Day Cancellations Same-day cancellations are subject to the full service fee. Any groceries purchased on behalf of the client will be returned to the client with applicable receipts. Any applicable unused food or grocery balance will be refunded. No-Shows A no-show or failure to provide reasonable access for a scheduled service may be treated as a same-day cancellation. 12. Changes to Booked Services Changes to a confirmed service, including changes to date, time, location, guest count, menu, or scope, may affect pricing and availability. Southern Bells will make reasonable efforts to accommodate requested changes but cannot guarantee availability. Additional expenses resulting from approved changes may be the client's responsibility. 13. Pricing and Additional Charges Prices may vary based on the service selected, number of guests, menu complexity, preparation requirements, travel, staffing, food costs, rentals, and other service-related factors. Any additional charges should be communicated to the client before they are incurred whenever reasonably possible. 14. Travel Travel outside Southern Bells' normal service area may result in additional travel charges. Applicable travel fees will be communicated to the client before booking or before the service is confirmed. 15. Service Availability All services are subject to availability. Submitting an inquiry or completing an intake form does not guarantee that a particular date, time, menu, or service will be available. A booking becomes confirmed only after Southern Bells accepts the booking and receives the required payment. 16. Client Property Clients are responsible for securing personal valuables and property. Southern Bells will exercise reasonable care while working in a client's home or property but is not responsible for loss or damage caused by pre-existing conditions, improperly maintained equipment, unsafe conditions, or circumstances outside Southern Bells' reasonable control. 17. Photography and Marketing Southern Bells may photograph food, tablescapes, events, or other aspects of a service for portfolio or marketing purposes only when appropriate authorization has been obtained. Client privacy will be respected. Clients may communicate any photography or marketing restrictions to Southern Bells before service. 18. Website Information Southern Bells makes reasonable efforts to keep website information accurate and current. However, menus, pricing, availability, photographs, descriptions, and other website content may change without notice. Website photographs are intended to provide examples and may not represent the exact presentation, portion, ingredients, or menu provided for every service. 19. Third-Party Services Southern Bells may use third-party providers for payment processing, scheduling, website hosting, communication, forms, marketing, or other business functions. Third-party services may have their own terms and privacy policies. Southern Bells is not responsible for the independent policies or practices of third-party providers. 20. Privacy Use of our website and submission of personal information are also subject to the Southern Bells Privacy Policy. The Privacy Policy explains how personal information may be collected, used, stored, and shared. 21. Limitation of Liability To the extent permitted by applicable law, Southern Bells is not responsible for losses, injuries, damages, delays, or expenses resulting from circumstances beyond its reasonable control. Clients are responsible for providing accurate information regarding allergies, dietary restrictions, kitchen conditions, access requirements, and other circumstances that may affect service. Nothing in these Terms is intended to waive rights or protections that cannot legally be waived. 22. Force Majeure Southern Bells will not be considered in breach of these Terms when circumstances beyond its reasonable control prevent or materially interfere with the performance of a service. Such circumstances may include severe weather, natural disasters, emergencies, government restrictions, transportation disruptions, illness, unsafe conditions, power outages, equipment failures, or other circumstances that make performance impractical or unsafe. Southern Bells will make reasonable efforts to communicate with affected clients and determine an appropriate resolution. 23. Right to Refuse or End Service Southern Bells reserves the right to refuse or discontinue service when circumstances create an unsafe, abusive, threatening, discriminatory, unsanitary, or otherwise inappropriate working environment. This may include unsafe kitchen conditions, threatening behavior, harassment, unauthorized individuals interfering with service, or other circumstances that prevent the chef from reasonably performing the agreed service. Any refund or financial resolution will be determined according to the applicable service and cancellation terms and the circumstances involved. 24. Intellectual Property Website content, branding, logos, photographs, written materials, menus, graphics, and other original content belonging to Southern Bells may not be copied, reproduced, modified, or commercially used without written permission. 25. Changes to These Terms Southern Bells may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our services, business practices, technology, or applicable laws. The updated Terms will be posted on this website with a revised “Last Updated” date. 26. Governing Law These Terms shall be interpreted in accordance with the laws of the State of New Jersey, to the extent applicable. Any dispute will be handled in accordance with applicable New Jersey law and any other applicable federal law. 27. Severability If any provision of these Terms is determined to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in effect to the fullest extent permitted by law. 28. Entire Agreement These Terms, together with the applicable service agreement, booking information, Cancellation Policy, Refund Policy, Privacy Policy, and any written service-specific agreement between Southern Bells and the client, constitute the applicable understanding between Southern Bells and the client regarding the services booked. 29.
